NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order enable works associated with the Beacon 62 development to be carried out (“the Works”) and in order to facilitate traffic management the Council proposes than in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above named order (“the Order”) under Section 14(1)(a) of the Act, the effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles including pedal cycles from proceeding along the sections of road described in paragraphs (1) and (2) below and to temporarily restrict the speed of vehicles on the sections of road described in paragraph (3) below.
(1) Coppice Lane – Right turn from Coppice Lane to Cronton Road
(2) Wilson Road – Right turn from Wilson Road to Cronton Road
The respective diversion routes for vehicles affected by the prohibited right turns on Coppice Lane and Wilson Road will be via Cronton Road. Tarbock Road, Roby Road, M62 (eastbound), Tarbock Island, Cronton Road and; via Cronton Road, Tarbock Island and Cronton Road.
(3) Cronton Road (both directions) – 20 MPH – from its junctions with Tarbock Island in a westerly direction to its junction with Bridgewater Way
The Order shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months from Wednesday 14 August 2019, although it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from Wednesday 14 August 2019 to Friday 28 February 2020.
Exemptions will be provided in the Order to permit reasonable access to properties and premises only so far as it is practical without interference with the execution of the Works, for Works vehicles, for any vehicle used in connection with police fire or ambulance purposes and for anything done with the permission of or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.
