Detectives have issued CCTV images of a man they believe could have information about an attempted robbery at a bank in Huyton on Thursday 22 November.
At around 4.45pm, a report was received that a male offender had entered Santander in Derby Road with an unknown item in a bag and demanded money.
He left on foot and empty-handed in an unknown direction. No one was injured during the incident.
Witness, forensic and CCTV enquiries are ongoing and detectives are particularly keen to speak to the man pictured, as it is believed he may have vital information to assist the investigation.
Detective Inspector Matt Kerr said: "We are in the very early stages of our investigation however we are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or who may recognise the man in the CCTV images and would urge them to get in touch.
"This must’ve been an extremely frightening experience for the staff members and we are thankful that no one was injured, however we are determined to locate the offender and put them before the courts.
"If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the Derby Road area, or have any dashcam footage from around the time of the incident, please contact us. Any information, no matter how small, will be investigated.”
