Smokefree Knowsley has launched 'Know your CO' campaign to help local smokers quit for good in October.
Smokefree Knowsley provided by City Health Care Partnership CIC is Knowsley Council’s stop smoking service, providing free, 1-2-1 support from trained stop smoking advisors to help local people quit smoking for good.
During October, Smokefree Knowsley is running its annual ‘Know Your CO’ stop smoking campaign. The team will be visiting local communities across Knowsley, running free CO screening checks and pop-up stands where local people can speak to trained stop smoking advisors.

About Smokefree Knowsley
Smokefree service is FREE to those who reside, work or are registered at a GP surgery in Knowsley. The service runs over 50 clinics per week across Knowsley, offering 1-2-1 support from 9am-7pm.
Smokers can choose how they want to quit. Smokefree Knowsley’s mobile consultation unit travels around Knowsley to access all of the local communities, and regular clinics are run by advisors in accessible local venues. Can’t get to a clinic? Smokefree also offers digital stop smoking services and 1-2-1 Skype consultations.
Service user Sandra, 27 years, said: “The Stop Smoking service and staff are fantastic, they were always there for support when I felt like I was going to smoke again, and I will not be going back to smoking again!”
James O’Neill, Smokefree Knowsley’s operational lead, said: “Smokefree Knowsley is focused on improving the health of people across the borough. All advisors are professionally trained and we’re proud of our results, which are amongst the highest in England. Know Your CO is an important awareness campaign, highlighting the dangers of carbon monoxide and smoking to our local people and letting them know how they can access our free support to save money and make long-term health improvements.”
