NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate resurfacing works of the M57 Junction 3 southbound exit slip (“the Works”) and in order to facilitate traffic management, Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council proposes than in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Order”), The effect of this Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles (except emergency services) including pedal cycles from proceeding along:
(i) M57 Junction 3 Circulatory, Stockbridge Village, from the
northbound exit for the M57 to the westbound entry from
Stockbridge Lane.
The main eastern diversion route for vehicular traffic affected by the road closure on M57 Junction 3 Circulatory will be via Stockbridge Lane, Knowsley Lane and Liverpool Road. The main western diversion route will be via Waterpark Drive, Mab Lane, Deysbrook Lane, Princess Drive and Liverpool Road. The main diversion route for vehicles travelling southbound on the M57 will be via the M57 Junction 2 and Liverpool Road. It is anticipated that the works will take place from 21:00 Sunday 18th August to 05:00 Monday 19th August 2019.
The Order will come into force on Wednesday 14th August 2019 and will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
Exemptions will be provided in the Order to permit reasonable access to properties, so far as it is practical without interference with the execution of the said work and for works vehicles, any vehicle used in connection with the police, fire or ambulance purposes and anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.
