Prescot Ladies continued to create history as they represented Greater Manchester against the South Lancashire cup winners in a winner-takes-all Final held at Crosby.
Prescot were forced into giving a debut to a junior goalkeeper with Foy unable to play.
However, after just five minutes an injury meant Heaps had to remove the young keeper and play with eleven outfield players!
Undeterred by this setback Prescot rallied and took the game to their so called more illustrious opponents and dominated for over an hour.
Goals from Sophie Fairhurst and Rachel Wood saw a dominant Prescot Ladies team pick up their fourth trophy of the season and complete a historic quadruple by winning every domestic honour available this season.
Dave Johnson, from Prescot Ladies said: “A massive thank you to St Helens Sports Development for their support with junior hockey, St Helens Law and Coach Mark Heaps who has overseen the development of the ladies hockey section at Prescot.
“Next year both the men and ladies will be promoted to the Pennine League and will be looking to build on this historic success.
“New players of any abilities and ages welcome.
