This year’s Christmas panto at Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park is the classic family favourite Beauty and the Beast.
We all know how the traditional tale goes – but expect twists and turns along the way in this latest production by Trio Entertainments.
A young and arrogant prince lives alone in a castle deep within a dark forest full of ferocious wolves when one day, he is visited by a lady seeking shelter and warmth. He cruelly mocks the lady and turns her away – but what he doesn’t know is that she is actually a magical enchantress. The prince lives to regret what he did when she puts a curse on him and he is turned into a terrible beast!
Watch the brilliant story unfold in larger-than-life live action as the beast attempts to win the heart of the heroine, Beauty, and become a handsome prince again. There’s laughter, singing and dancing, and all of the typical panto fun you could ask for around Christmas time!
Former Celebrity Big Brother winner Alex Reid will be appearing as the evil Gaston who may also be known for appearing in Hollyoaks as Jason Cunliffe, and for his previous marriage to Katie Price.
Also a well-known Cage Fighter, Alex has gone from soap operas to pantomimes and will be making his third panto appearance in Beauty and the Beast; he previously played Fleshcreep in Jack and the Beanstalk, and Genie in Aladdin.
Singing sensation Robert Brendan, who came to Knowsley last year to play the prince in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, will be returning to Knowsley to play the prince once again.
Panto favourite Harry Moore who appeared in Snow White as the Dame is also coming back to Knowsley to play the hilarious Dame again.
